Policies for Dog Events

Purpose: This policy outlines the guidelines and rules for participants and organizers of dog events hosted by Wags Bakery LLC. The primary goal of this policy is to ensure the safety, enjoyment, and well-being of all participants, their dogs, and attendees.

Scope: This policy applies to all dog events organized or sponsored by Wags Bakery LLC, including but not limited to dog parties, dog-friendly social events, training classes or any other event that is open to dogs.

Participant Requirements:

  1. All participants must adhere to the event’s rules and regulations as outlined by the organizing committee.
  2. Participants are responsible for the behavior, health, and welfare of their dogs at all times during the event.
  3. Dogs must be properly vaccinated and in good health to participate. Proof of vaccination may be required.
  4. Participants must maintain control of their dogs on a leash or as otherwise specified by event organizers.
  5. Aggressive behavior by dogs towards other dogs, humans, or property will not be tolerated.
  6. Participants are expected to promptly clean up after their dogs and dispose of waste in designated receptacles.

Event Organization:

  1. Event organizers shall ensure adequate supervision and safety measures are in place throughout the event.
  2. Adequate facilities for waste disposal, hydration, and rest areas for dogs will be provided.
  3. Event schedules and rules should be clearly communicated to participants well in advance of the event.
  4. Emergency procedures, including medical assistance for dogs, should be established and communicated to all participants.

Liability and Waiver:

  1. Participants must sign a waiver acknowledging the risks associated with participating in the event and releasing the organizers from liability for any injuries or damages sustained.
  2. Organizers should obtain appropriate insurance coverage to mitigate liability risks associated with hosting the event.

Code of Conduct:

  1. Respect for all participants, including fellow dog owners, event staff, judges, and spectators, is paramount.
  2. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the event.
  3. Participants are encouraged to exhibit good sportsmanship and support fellow participants.

Enforcement:

  1. Event organizers reserve the right to enforce event rules and take appropriate action against participants who violate these rules, including expulsion from the event.
  2. Decisions made by event officials regarding rule enforcement are final.

Communication:

  1. All event-related communications, including changes to schedules or rules, should be promptly and clearly communicated to participants through official channels.
  2. Organizers should provide contact information for participants to address any questions or concerns regarding the event.
