What ingredients do you use?
Wags Bakery uses only real, human-grade ingredients in each of our recipes, whcih are baked fresh daily in our Kitchen located in Urbana, Ohio. We have been baking dog treats for decades, following advice from a hometown vet after caring for one of our sick dogs. We limit the use of sugar, salt, and preservatives, and do not use any artificial ingredients, period.
Are your treats approved by the state?
Our labels have been approved by the Ohio Department of Agriculture and we have certification to sell our treats in the state of Ohio. Most of our products have a GA (Guaranteed Analysis) with kcalories listed. However, some of our products are still pending analysis as we work to move these products through laboratory testing to get the protein, fiber, fat, moisture and ash content. We update our labels as soon as results come in.
What if my dog has an allergy?
We understand. Lots of dogs have allergies to different types of ingredients. Please let one of our staff know about your dogs allergy, and we will recommend items to stay away from. Also, be sure to reach our product labels for detailed ingredient information.
How long do your treats last?
It depends! Cakes, cupcakes and many of our specialty display treats (especially those with fresh fruit, cheese or dairy) can be stored up to 4 days in the refridgerator, or frozen and thawed later. Our dry treats however, have gone through extra baking time to assist in moisture removal. These treats can last for several weeks stored in a pantry, or frozen to last longer.
How much time is needed to order a cake?
If you are planning on ordering a cake, please allow at least 72 hours before pickup.. We want your pup to have an amazing celebration and a pawsome looking cake!
Dog Services FAQ's
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a dog service?
If you need to reschedule or cancel a booked appointment, we ask that you please give us 24 hours notice. We understand that sometimes emergencies happen, we will work with you if something like this comes up. No-shows will not be permitted to book appointments again, unless paid for in advance.
How does the dog self-wash work?
Its easy! Come in during our dog self-wash walk-in hours; Tue-Thur 4-7pm, Friday 4-6pm or Saturday 12-4 (there may be a small wait time if the groomers are using the wash station or another customer is washing their pet). We give you a smock, shampoo, conditioner, use of the dog tub, blow dryer, and towels.
